In the company of a tour driver, fully prepared to provide you with tourism information, stroll and visit Portugal’s most relevant places and monuments. 

The driver will give you the necessary directions during the trip so you can visit the streets and monuments and meet again at the end of each visit. 

You can choose a tour from our suggestions, knowing that we are at your disposal to change the route to meet your wishes. 

The driver does not go along inside the monuments. If you wish so, you can hire an official Tourist Guide to accompany you on the trip. 

Lisbon Tour

In the city of the seven hills, let’s take a trip through the centuries. 

We will start by going down the Avenida da Liberdade, enter the Baixa Pombalina (Lisbons Downtown) and get to know a city reborn after the 1755 earthquake. In Alfama and Castelo we will walk through the narrow streets where the first chords of Lisbon’s Fado were heard. In Chiado we will get to see the liveliest side of the city and in Belém we will visit the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery), the Torre de Belém (Belém Tower) and the Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries), ending the visit to the neighborhood with the famous Pastel de Belém (Belém Custard Tart). 

As Lisbon has not stopped in time, we will also go to Parque das Nações, which after the Expo 98 became a place of leisure with the Oceanário (Oceanarium), the Casino de Lisboa (Lisbon Casino) and the Pavilhão do Conhecimento (Knowledge Pavilion). 

(The monuments in Belém are closed on Monday) 

Sintra Tour

Leaving Lisbon towards Sintra, we will take a short detour to see the fabulous 18th century Palácio de Queluz (Queluz Palace), the Portuguese royal house where D. Pedro IV was born and died. We will continue our tour to Sintra were we can taste the famous traditional confectionery in Periquita and stroll through the streets of the historic village with the Palácio Nacional Sintra (Sintra‘s National Palace) in the background and the Castelo dos Mouros (Moorish Castle) watching over us from the top of the mountain.   

The Quinta da Regaleira and the Palácio da Pena (Pena Palace), as if they came out of a fairy tale, are also an option to visit in the Sintra Mountains 

We will go around the Sintra Mountains to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, and start the return trip to Lisbon through Praia do Guincho (Guincho Beach), Boca do Inferno, Cascais and Costa do Estoril (Coast of Estoril). We recommend visiting two monuments of your choice on this tour. 

Fátima and Óbidos Tour

When we arrive to Fátima we will visit the Sanctuary and attend a Mass at the Capelinha das Aparições (Apparition Chapel)built where the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to the Little Shepherds took place in 1917. You can also visit the Basílica de Nossa Senhora do Rosário (Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary) and the most recent Basílica da Santíssima Trindade (Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity).  

We will then head to Aljustrelthe village of the Little Shepherds where we will find the house of Lucia and the brothers Francisco and JacintaWe continue to the magnificent Mosteiro da Batalha (Batalha Monastery), and learn about the history of the troops led by D. Nuno Alves Pereira at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. 

Then, we will go to the Castelo de Óbidos (Óbidos Castle) with Muslim origin and conquered by D. Afonso Henriques, first king of Portugal.  We will have a free walking tour of the historic village within the walls where you can get lost and discover the characteristic alleys. 

Évora Tour

 Leaving Lisbon behind and heading to the Alentejo region, we will go to Arraiolos, a typical village where they make the famous carpets and then we carry on with our trip. The welcome to the city of Évora will be given by the Templo de Diana (Temple of Diana), Roman ruins from the 1st century A.D.  We will walk to the  de Évora (Évora See) and down the street to the Praça do Giraldo (Giraldo Square) and carry on to the Igreja de São Francisco (São Francisco Church), where we will visit the impressive Capela dos Ossos (Bones Chapel) 

After the visit we have the option to do a wine tasting at Adega da Cartuxa (Cartuxa Wine Celler), where Pêra-Manca, probably the best Portuguese wine, is produced (booking in advance is required) or stop at Freeport (the largest outlet in Europe) to do some shopping within the tour schedule. Return to Lisbon through the Ponte Vasco da Gama (Vasco da Gama Bridge) 

Azeitão Tour

 With the Santuário do Cristo Rei (King Christ Sanctuary) as a destination, we cross the Tagus River through the Ponte 25 de Abril (25th of April Bridge) to get to know a new angle of Lisbon and the Tagus banks. 

We will then go to Azeitão where we can taste the Azeitão Tarts and Cheeses. In the villages and lands of the Arrábida Mountain is where some excellent products and Portuguese gastronomic symbols are produced. You can visit the Quinta da Bacalhôa for a wine tasting (booking in advance is required) surrounded by art, and we will still learn the history of Portuguese Azulejos (Tiles) in one of the last art centers where they use the traditional 17th century tile method. 

We will travel to the beautiful landscape of the Arrábida Mountain until we reach Setúbal and then stop at Castelo de Palmela (Palmela Castle) before we start our return to Lisbon through the Ponte Vasco da Gama (Vasco da Gama Bridge).

Prices include all driver, car, toll, fuel and tax expenses from 9am to 6pm. 

The monuments tickets and the client’s expenses are not included. 

The tour is dependent on the contracted time and not the number of visited places. 

HenriquesTurLdareserves the right to use a Mercedes van for less than 4 people in the event of unavailability of a smaller car, the difference in value will be borne by HenriquesTur.

50% of the payment is made at the beginning and the rest at the end of the service. If you want to pay part of it with credit card, the service has a 5% increase over the payable amount. AMEX is not available
